The past simple and the past participle of fall
Conjugation of the verb fall:
Base Form/Infinitive without 'to':
Third Person Singular:
To suddenly go downwards onto or towards the ground.
He fell from his horse and was badly injured.
Walking becomes difficult when the ground is slippery. So be careful you don't fall!
The irregular verbs in the table below have the same pattern as fall. They are:
- Verbs with '-en' in the past participle.
- Verbs like 'write, wrote, written'.
